My terrible teen – A rescue mission for desperate parents
Having a teenager in the house could be like hosting a ticking bomb. You never know from one minute to the other what is going to happen, Their temper is unpredictable, you are the best parent on earth in the morning and wished off the planet in the afternoon. Rage, anger, tears are part of the every day life. They live by their own rules and the situation could easily slip out of your hands…
Don´t panic! Help is on it´s way.
In this new format “My terrible teen” we help families with major and various teenage problems to get back on the right track. Parents will get advice on how to deal with their pubescent temper tantrums and
different families need different methods and different advice in order to move on.
Each family receive a customised set of measures from a professional youth expert who has a solution for everything.
In each episode we meet a new family on the verge of a breakdown. In three acts we identify the specific problem, get an action plan from the youth expert, follow the parents and teenager trying to practise the plan and share their fights, anger and emotional turbulence. Finally in the last act we experience the result of the new way of handling the – hopefully no longer - terrible teenager.
And it is not only the families taking part in the programme who gets help. On ”My terrible teen – A rescue mission for desperate parents”, the concept is expanded in that the expert provides parental coaching directly to the viewers. They receive concrete and easy-to-use advice.
During the credits, there is a recorded telephone conversation with questions from the viewers; answers to those and other questions can be found at the shows´ website.
This brand new format started airing in Oct 2008.
